Is That a Foxhole, Soldier, or...?

ON BIVOUAC in basic training at Fort Lewis, Wash., each of us had to dig a foxhole. It was supposed to be deep and narrow, but as I attempted to do it justice, mine got deeper and wider. The commanding officer finally walked over to me and, looking into the gaping hole, asked, "A tank trap, soldier?"

Lol wide defeats the whole purpose of the "foxhole" i prefer the term "fighting hole" as marines dont run and hide like foxes =)

The grenade sump takes care of the grenade issues if dug right however I dont think Id wanna test to see if it works outside of theory.
But the wider it is the more open you are to air fire yes, and a tank half track to fall down into your hole. If its small in width and as deep as its supposed to be your semi safe from the track.. Lol guess semi safe is better than dead tho=)
