BAGHDAD, Aug 28, 2006 (AFP) - Insurgents killed four US soldiers in a
roadside bomb attack north of the Iraqi capital Baghdad, the US military
said Monday.
The soldiers died Sunday at 3:00 pm (1100 GMT) when the vehicle they were
riding in was struck by the bomb, the military said.
The latest fatalities brought the US military death toll in Iraq since the
March 2003 invasion to 2,624, according to AFP count based on Pentagon
figures.
