All it took for Johnny Benson is to get his first Craftsman Truck Series win earlier this year.

Once Benson found victory lane, he's made a regular habit out of it.

Benson outran teammate Mike Skinner to pick up his fourth NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series win Saturday in the New Hampshire 200 at New Hampshire International Speedway.

Benson took the lead from Kyle Busch with 38 laps to go and drove away to his fourth win in his last seven series starts.

"This thing was awesome, especially in the middle of the race," Benson said. "We did a great job. We were consistent on pit road, just got us where we needed to be to take advantage of this fast Tundra.

Benson averaged 92.323 miles per hour in his Bill Davis Racinga Toyota Tundra with pole-sitter Skinner behind to give BDR a sweep of the top two spots.

Busch finished third in a Chevrolet Silverado, followed by the Toyota of series points leader Todd Bodine. David Starr rounded out the top five in a Toyota.

Ron Hornaday, Jr., Rick Crawford, Matt Crafton, Erik Darnell and Mark Martin completed the first ten finishers.

Bodine kept a 124 point lead over Benson in the standings.

"If you look at it, the way Todd’s been running and we’ve been running, even if we win races and do everything we can, we probably can’t catch him," Benson said.

"I'm proud of this team. We did what we needed to do today."

David Reutimann is third in the standings with 2,521 points, 263 behind Bodine.

It wasn't a good day for defending series champion Ted Musgrave, who brough out the caution flag on lap 90 after he made contact with Rick Crawford and then hit the third turn wall.

Musgrave stayed on the track and ran his truck into Crawford's the next time by before NASCAR ordered him off the track and parked him for the rest of the race. He finished 31st and additional penalties are epxcted.

The Craftsman Truck Series now heads to Las Vegas Motor Speedway next Saturday night.
