Formosa POW camps

I find his statistics a little selective as the death rate of Russian POWs were far higher than his 1-2% and some sources put it higher than the death rate of Allied POWs in Japanese hands.
Key words were "western Allies"...Russian POWs and German POWs of the Russians would be far higher.

Interestingly enough some of the sources I have read put the number of German POW deaths in Russian hands as significantly lower than Russian POWs in German hands.

The numbers seem to show about 25-35% of German POWs died in Russian Captivity and between 45-55% of Russians died in German captivity.

The main problem is in finding any genuine numbers, the Russians claim it was as low as 10% but I find their mathematics to be as dubious as the Chinese and as a rule of thumb when dealing with Chinese statistics I find it best to double and add 50%.
