Foreigners in the Russian Army.

I heard a while back that foreigners will be allowed to join the russian army, and i wonder if an applicant have to speak russian or is it like a french forign legion type thing. Not that i have any intention of applying just curios.irate:

You do have to speak Russian, to understand your superior officers if nothing else. I doubt that would be an issue though: they do not expect many people to apply from outside former USSR.
