A Marine landing ship converted to floating cathedral. No joke. The "Duke Vladimir", a Large Naval Infantry Landing Ship (BDK in Russian acronym), was donated to the Orthodox Church by the Russian Navy in 2004, after being retired from active service. The Church transformed it into a floating cathedral
The "cathedral" , still under a Naval flag and with a Naval crew, sails regularly around the rivers of Russia, with a full compliment of clergy aboard
