A Flag Officer for Lunch?

ONE EARLY SPRING DAY, a general from another unit visited our Army Airborne group in Montana to observe paratroopers in a training exercise. The drop zone that particular day was a grazing area for cattle. The general arrived at the site shortly before the exercise was to commence and attempted to land -- to no avail. In the winter months, when land vehicles could not reach the cattle through deep snow, bales of hay had been dropped to the animals from a helicopter. So now, each time the general's helicopter neared the ground, the cattle ran over looking for lunch.

They jump in the cow fields a lot. when i was little, i used to call them the ARMY COWS. mom never lets me live it down...every time we drive by, she says," Look Robbie! Army cows! Eyes right!" and when we pass," Ready, front!"...i just give her the evil eye
