my dad owns a lighter M44 carbine and ya it kicks more but we still dont use recoil pads or shooting jackets, the only time i have ever used a shooting jacket is when i shot a 10 guage shot gun, and all i have to say is OOOOWWWWWWWWWW! i got a hairline fracture, lol
