fast rope fail!

appears to me that a crew chief didn't gave eyes on the ropers nor was the helo crew communicating. Somebody oughta have their azz kicked.

Even though there should've been communication between the crew, the pilot or co-pilot could have EASILY taken a cursory glance behind them to verify everyone was out, since it is ultimately their responsibility for the passengers' safety until they hit the ground, no pun intended. Quite the pucker factor for the dude on the end of that rope.

Crew Chiefs responsibilty, it's his bird the pilot only flys it .......ask a crew chief:).

Once you they hit that rope it's the Chiefs responsibilty to inform the pilot that they are on rope and advise him of progress and when the last roper clears. It's also his responsibilty to cut the rope away.
