THE 40 SNAPPILY UNIFORMED veterans of various branches of the military were waiting to participate in their city's annual parade. "All right, men, look sharp!" their commander barked. "I want shoulders back, heads up and no turning around."
The gray-haired veterans marched ramrod straight, eyes looking forward, ignoring greetings from friends along the way. Suddenly a tiny voice piped up, "Look, Mommy, there's Grandpa!" As a unit, all heads turned.
