They had a pretty effective navy i believe as they develope the compass!

Their navy is their weakest spot. They had a very late start on the sea compared to the europeans which had huge amounts of experience and technologicall structure since the spartan days. The chinese was limited to fight on rivers until very late.

it wasnt until 15th century that any europeans went beyond 800 miles from the coast apart from the vikings! im sure that the chinese were sailing into the indian ocean by then!

China sailed into the indian ocean to capture a rival king that threatened the emperor's throne. China was behind in the ideas and establishment of democracy. Zhen He's voyage exactly shows this. They can levy as much tax as the emperor wants instead of like in europe, the king will be in debt. China then was just like dictatorships today who can spend huge amounts of money on unimportant things. The chinese went to africa costed them seriously where europe would not need to send such a large fleet to do this kind of thing and they will not waste the money. Just because the chinese went to africa dosen't mean that they could fight on the sea. They do not have any experience or the required technology to match europe. The europeans had a long history of naval warfare while the famous chinese Jin and other fleets were ristricted to the rivers. They had no experience on the sea until very late. The reason that europe was better was because of their advanced military technology and democratic system. There are very books books that showed this. The europeans were almost always outnumbered but their troops were higher quality which led to the security of europe.

The only reason Europe has such a war history is because there are so many different types of people competing for land and other resources. Where as in Asia, China mostly dominates the neighboring countries. China had no need to better its military because they were already the top dog, but failed to realize that more technicological countries could try to start a war with them.

There is no such thing as no need. Every one needs better technology and the aztecs were no exception. The reason that the technologically inferior countires were like that is because they did not see it that way. They did not realize the importance of science and valued something else. While the europeans were religious they had put a great importance on science. Another thing is trade. European countries traded with each other almost all the time, while china did not make such trades with neighbouring countries. By the late middle ages the europeans have outmatched the asians in military technology in almost every aspect. Their fighting ablilty was a lot greater than the asians.


China also had a long war history among them selves. Each dynasty destroyed the other and killed half of the population and plus the war ages that lasts decades to centuries. China was not at peace at all and did need military technology.

secondly, for how many mullenium did the bow and arrow stay as a prime weapon before teh gun replaced it? Tell me is there ANY need to develope a weapon then a nuclear missle?

finally, since when were the aztecs in this conversation? last time i check the aztecs lived in south america not europe or asia

Medieval europe knew less about the body than the greeks and romans, they thought the world was flat-the greeks knew it was round and one greek worked out the circumference of the world and it was almost correct!
mainly medieval europe was probably worse off than china in my respects in science, however the earlier greeks and romans had an understanding in science that was probably better!

You make no sense at all.there is always the need to develop better weapons. Every could of used a MLRS but they didn't have it because technology only develops at a sertain speen. Guns didn't replace bows because they could not be made into the effective state it's absurd for you to say there is no need at a certain time for advanced things.
