You guys are staring at map of "Eurasian Balkans" from book The Grand Chessboard, 1997, from page 124. Book written by top level U.S. policy maker, Zbigniew Brzezinski. In the days of cold war he held some top level positions. Here is his picture with young Osama Bin Laden, and another one with Saddam Hussein.

Get familiar with this map, since it is the battle theater of the war on terrorism. Of course, as battle rages, plans change, but this is more of an original plan.
Note Yemen on this map. It's marked off with a flash point, and presently thanks to Christmas day underwear bomber, war on terrorism now finds its way into Yemen. A country rich in undeveloped oil reserves.
Note flash point in Northern Iran. Youtube is full of propaganda showing students clashing with police.
Note 3 flash points in Caucasus region. Nagorno-Karabach, Chechnya, Georgia. As you can see these 3 conflicts stop Russia's geopolitical thrust towards oil rich "Eurasian Balkans". Also, Rockefeller got a pipeline out of those conflicts.
Look around the map, please. Afghanistan, Pakistan? Land is needed to build a pipeline from oil rich "Eurasian Balkans" into the sea. China, Tajikistan? To stop Chinese building pipeline. Note 2 targets in Kazakstan. How in the hell do you think United States could secure oil and natural gas rich Kazakstan?
9/11 got us into Afghanistan, and Iraq, and from there other places. Note target locations in Kazakstan. Each one is literally hundreds of miles away from cities and roads. What is there? (nuclear/biological facilities)

In other words, Kazakstan becomes what Iraq and Afghanistan is now. We get their oil and gas resources.
