Eritrea accused the U.S. of instigating conflict in the Horn of Africa after Washington and the U.N. Security Council accused the tiny Red Sea country of aggression against neighboring Djibouti. Djibouti and Eritrea have launched a major military buildup on their border, which overlooks critical Red Sea shipping lanes. Skirmishes this week killed at least nine Djiboutians and wounded more than 60. The U.S. has more than 1,200 troops in Djibouti, where an anti-terrorism task force for the Horn of Africa is based.
