I've searched the site and found that Engineers were patrols and infantry-type jobs, is that still the case? If there are any Engineers here, could you describe what types of Engineering job you do? I find that I'm actually good with mechanics and computer-aided design manufacturing, so I thought I would get some back-round information on Engineers.

Thanks for the help

Combat Engineers accompany the forward manuver elements. They clear mine fields, construct field fortifications, conduct demo work and have limited construction and bridging functions.

Heavy Engineers have the dozers, graders, back hoes, major bridging equipment and can handle major construction projects.

There are also MOS's for draftsmen if thats what your looking for.

Pretty much the same job description for Marine and Army Combat Engineers. They both train at the same school.
