Eddie Albert, hero of Tarawa dies

Most people these days remember him from the old "Green Acres" TV show but he was in alot of shows and movies. Always seemed like a very nice man to me.
 
Yes, this is really sad. I never knew about his wartime service, but in common with a lot of people form his generation, he either didn't want to boast about it or wanted to leave that in the past and move on.
