Here's some interesting information for all of you Doom fans out there..

Doom - The Movie, have gone into pre-production 30th August.

The Rock will not play the central role, but he may star in the film.
(I don't know if that's good or bad news.. )

The movie will not be based on any of the Doom games, but on the Doom universe itself..

It could easily end up as another turkey, but it could also be quite cool.. :rambo:

I can recognize a couple of creatures from the first Doom games, but other than that it doesn't seem to follow the story of the original game.. :?

But I guess I'll have to see it anyway

Its Doom afterall...yeah well Doom is all about hell, demons and rock'n roll oh and kicking the demons asses, this is just another movie made out of a game and again its nothing like the game was like another bad example Alien vs Predator
oh well, got to see it anyway.

They have included my (and most others) favorite weapon from the Doom games:
the Chainsaw... :twisted:

It's also interesting to see the FPS (First person shooter) perspective in some of the scenes, and a couple of creatures from Doom 3 can be found in that trailer as well..
