My feelings on homosexuality do not come from a guilt trip... My feelings on homosexuality come from the idea that I would not want ANYONE being able to tell me who I could and could not love. My feelings on homosexuality come from the idea that if it's not hurting me, why should I care? My feelings on homosexuality come from the basic understanding that we are all human beings, and none of us is any better than the other when it comes to matters like that. Again, different is not always BAD, Spike. You cannot compare a homosexual to a criminal because they are different scenarios. Yes, there probably is a malfunction in a homosexual's brain that causes he/she to be attracted to the same sex... But it is NOT the same malfunction that causes a criminal to want to rape, murder, or steal. They are not doing anything illegal (when you think about the basic definition of a crime), so who are we to stop them? You're no better than they are... Judge not, lest ye be judged. Quote:

"First, Congress can amend federal law, Title 10, 654. Secondly, the Supreme Court can rule that section of 654 unconstitutional. They have already overturned state sodomy laws. A few cases using that as a precedence are working their way toward the court. They refused to hear the first one that landed at their feet. More to come. Either of those two President Obama can not do much about, despite his speeches." quote Lavite (post 20 this thread) This is what makes President Obama's statements to do away with "Don't Ask, Don't Tell, so hollow. He knows he can not change it with out going through Congress. |
