This a sop to the Mexican Goverment who probably pitched a fit when BATF & E made its announcement warning about spring break. Mexico City is afraid of losing tourism dollars. DHS and probably State IS PANDERING TO THEM......AGAIN.
The tourist areas like Cancun, Alcapluco, Cabo probably are safe. But you'd have to have your head very deep in your fourth point to go to : Reynosa, Laredo, Juarez, Matamoras or any other "destination" in the Border Zone.
The Cartels may noy be targeting Americans but they sure as hell don't care if Americans get caught up in the violence.
Go to the Border Zone right now and you need remedial lessons in situational awareness. Regardless of what the politicians are babbling.
