AP - Lawmakers in a devoutly Muslim Indonesian province voted unanimously that adulterers can be sentenced to death by stoning, just months after voters overwhelmingly chose to throw conservative Islamic parties out of power.

Most Indonesians I know wouldn't stand for that sort of nonsense.
But of course, these extremist groups will bully their way into power and the rest of us will mistake them for the real representatives of the people.
