Deputy prime minister puts condition on sale of telco giant

AFP - A key member of Australia's government has called for two billion dollars (1.5 billion US) of any proceeds from the full privatisation of telecom giant Telstra to be put into a fund to guarantee future communications services in the country's vast outback.
