Deployed Soldiers & Holidays?

I need a little help from all the soldiers in the forum that have been deployed, and sent far away from their home and families before. What were the main things you wanted around the holidays. I'm tying to figure out what I can do for my friends in Iraq for Thanksgiving and Chirstmas. Any ideas you guys, I want to hear any suggestion or idea you might have.

Anything will be appreicated but during the holidays I'd stay with the theme.
My mommy used to send Christmas cookies and candy (made me real popular), socks, skivvies , books etc.

I was once sent a small fiber optic Christmas tree. That was real cool, the thing I think is just stuff really, cookies, letters, newspaper articles about sports. Whether a person chews or not a can of copenhagen comes in handy.
