AP - An Iranian scientist sought refuge in the Pakistani Embassy compound and asked to go home, an apparent defection gone wrong that could embarrass the U.S. and its efforts to gather intelligence on Tehran's suspected nuclear weapons program.

The guy possibly turned up thinking life in the US would be awesome and figured that it wasn't that great and now wants to go back.

No i dont think its that..I think in some way he wanted to get his fam back here and away from a terrorist country...Iran got to his fam..threaten him and no he has no choice but to go back...thats awful....
