Death penalty for Ft Hood suspect

Lets hope that the White House does not get involved. I agree that this crime deserves it. It is also a sad testament that his superiors chose not to remove this fanatic from the service. It only proves that PC is alive and well in the service. Yet another reason that I will likely retire before the end of the year.

The Obama White House is very unlikely to get involved.

The time it will take to go through the judicial process with automatic appeals etc. will mean some future President in about 2050 could involve himself.

Lots of questions have been raised by this horrible event. For me the real criminals are the officers in charge of Maj Hassan, who completely failed in their duty, their defence appears to be that "he was a doctor, so not part of the Army" - horsesh!!. Soldier first, specialisation second.

The ones in charge of Hassan couldn't really say anything. If they did, Hassan would keep his job and they would be writing up their resumes.

It is a shame that his CofC was too scared of political correctness to do the right thing. Ultimately his victims paid the price. I guarantee that had his CofC done the right thing, Hassan would have gotten some bleeding heart lawyer to file a suit for him, and the quoted comment above would have become a reality.

I have a hard time with the idea of sentencing someone the death penalty. But in this case, castrate the bastard with a bottle of battery acid.

IMO.

as unpredictable and horrific incident was, before sending him away, I'd love to have clearer picture as how/why it happened still... official explanations/investigations are not quite satisfactory to me...
There is my $0.32ct anyway

Sorry ...

Political correctness and bleeding heart aside, I don't give a good god damn as to why he did what he did. The fact he did it is good enough grounds for me to support this coward's execution.

The ONLY thing, is the fact that we can't execute him more than once. Anybody who kills the guys that have got his back (guys that were his friends), deserve multiple executions ... it is the nature of the beast as far as I am concerned.

Only $0.32? Hell I just got paid, I'll buy them a whole box on ammo, or I'll volunteer to be the one and only shooter :) I will supply my own weapon, and I promise I will have mercy on him, he won;t feel any pain as his head explodes from my 7.62x54R that I push from the front to the back. In fact ANY terrorist thats captured I hereby offer my services as a cold blooded emotionless executer. After they are found guilty of course :)

I like your style, Wolfen! :thumb: You, Chief Bones, TI, and everybody who isn't in favor of mercy for a cold-blooded killer are my heroes!!!!
