Czech party to pull out of government, PM under threat

PRAGUE (Reuters) - A junior party in the Czech center-right coalition called on its ministers to quit the cabinet on January 10 after a row with Prime Minister Petr Necas, threatening the government's survival. The crisis comes after Necas fired Karolina Peake, leader of the junior partner LIDEM, as defense minister earlier on Thursday, just a week after she took office. LIDEM's departure from the cabinet, where it has three ministers, would weaken the already minority administration a year and a half ahead of an election planned for mid-2014. ...
