I'm an avid cyclist, and today did an 80K ride just for some organic veggies. Holy Mother of God, my legs are burning... But, as I was cycling across a bridge, the sun was beginning to set. Something hit me - "My God, this is the life. Just me, the bike and the open road."
At the moment, I don't have a proper touring bike - that is one of my life purchases, something I definitely want to buy. I wouldn't mind splashing the $2000+ to get a good one. Complete with paniers, and all the toys.
In the last three months I have put just over 680KM on my mountain bike.
So, I was wondering, are any of you avid cyclists? Is there anywhere you would recommend? A particular trail/route? Do you have a favourite type of bike? Why?
