AP - In a March 16 story about Chiquita's payments to Colombia's far-right paramilitaries, The Associated Press erroneously reported that the legal representative of the company's Colombian subsidiary, Giovanny Hurtado Torres, was convicted of smuggling arms on behalf of paramilitaries. Hurtado was jailed for a year in the arms smuggling investigation but released when prosecutors dropped the charges, citing insufficient evidence.
