Did you ever go to 396 City of Prince Georce Squadron?? Would you happen to know Warren Grafton, Alden Campbell or somebody Dow? (can't remember his first name)

St. John's, Nfld.

Arguably oldest European city in N.A. Inarguably oldest in Canada. Easternmost city in North America -- our time zone is 1.5 hours later than "Eastern". Reception site of the first transatlantic radio message. Has a short street called "Long Street", a straight street called "Circular Road", and a street called "Hill O' Chips". "George Street" is a block of nothing but pubs; the joke is that's the highest density of watering holes on the continent. Home of the Royal Newfoundland Regiment, the oldest military unit in North America. The local police -- the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary -- was founded in 1871 but did not carry sidearms until 1998 (that gives you an idea of the crime rate). Mater of fact, there was recently a complaint to the Ministry of Justice that plainclothes detectives were often not carrying their pistols.
