By Clare Baldwin and Rachel Lee HONG KONG (Reuters) - More than a dozen Chinese labor rights groups are circulating a petition pushing for safer factory working conditions, in a bid to capitalize on public anger over the worst industrial accident in more than year. A room filled with metal dust exploded on Saturday at the Kunshan Zhongrong Metal Products Co Ltd factory that polishes wheel hubs for carmakers, including General Motors Co, killing 75 people and injuring 185. It was the worst industrial accident in China since June last year when a fire engulfed a poultry slaughterhouse and has once again thrust concerns about safety conditions in factories across the country to the fore. "The reasons for the accident lie fundamentally with long-neglected labor rights," says the petition, which is circulating on Chinese social media.
