Lets not forget that if they decide to invade, they are going to have to put up with the British and Australian forces and the rest of the Coalition forces!

This might throw another slant on any perceived Chinese threat.
The influential American environmental campaigner, Lester Brown, founder of the Worldwatch Institute and the Earth Policy Institute in Washington DC, says that growth in at least three of the four Brics countries could be overwhelmed by an environmental crisis.
"One of the big challenges that China faces is the tightening water supply in the northern half of the country," he explained.
"This will obviously affect agriculture - but the water supplies could become so tight that they will affect industry as well.
"With Brazil, it's the deforestation of the Amazon basin that could be a suicidal sort of move, if it affects the recycling of rainfall to the interior and the south of Brazil.
"India's problem is also a water problem: water tables in India are now falling in most states. And when those aquifers are depleted - as they will be - as one Indian water expert said: 'There could be chaos in the countryside.'"

Who knows, future wars might just be about water rather than oil..

In the late 30s, Fleet Admiral Yamamoto told the Japanese leadership: "you cannot invade mainland U.S. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass.

Today, perhaps that would be a thermonuclear missile behind every blade of grass, but the outcome would be the same.

And from an economic standpoint, if China invaded the U.S., they would lost their largest trading partner. An economic disaster of biblical proportions for China.

Speeches like this are designed to keep the hard liners in check by promising them war and mayhem "someday."

This individual has about as much credibiity as Howard Dean.

Since when is an "assertion" a "fact"? Has there been a change in the language? FMJ, this paper is as bogus as you can get. There is absolutely no verification of anything asserted in it. I expect this sort of blind acceptance of anything someone is told from citizens of an autocratic country but I truly expect a product of the American education system to be able to think critically.

Topic: Just so much drivel and trash.

I'm trying to understand why a person who is as perceptive as you have shown yourself to be, would place any belief in this drivel and trash.

The Chinese are not and have never been stupid. They realize, as do most of us, that military action against the United States is NOT in their best interests. Economically, it would be the greatest disaster that has EVER hit China in her long history. The process of trying to take over the United States would most assuredly end up with nuclear weapons being used. I believe anyone with an ounce of common sense KNOW with a certainty this would result in almost every corner of the world suffering massive destruction that can only be imagined. Nuclear Winter is the least that would transpire and would place a heavier burden on China to feed, cloth and house her surviving citizens than it would the United States. It would be almost impossible to wage a "world war" under these conditions.

If China had ANY kind of a plan to take over the United States, it would be based on economical warfare. They would invest in our economy in such a way as to completely control or dominate our economic culture. This plan 'might' stand a chance, if our own government didn't step in and nationalize the sectors that China controlled.

Open warfare with China is so remote as to be almost impossible - China wants to survive and there would be NO survival for her if nuclear weapons were tossed around as they would most assuredly be.

Who wrote or didn't write this article is immaterial, it is just plain drivel and trash and should be consigned to Oval File 13.
