KJ Active member Apr 22, 2009 #31 I use Zulu as designator as that is what I am used to. All military personel knows what Zulu time is, regardless of station. GMT is the civilian counterpart and could be used just as well, but again I guess you´ll go with what you are used to. Hope that clarifys things. I´m in chat now . 1853 Zulu.
