Canada Day

In 1867 the British Colonies in what is now Canada meet to form a Dominion. A new constitution was drawn up and Canada was formed as a new Country. July 1st was chosen as the Birthday, when the new constitution would come into effect. The original 4 provences were Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. Since that time the Dominion has grown to stretch from Atlantic to Pacific, now being the second largest Country in the world.
 
Ah, I knew there had to be some reason to raise a glass yesterday. :D

Since my dog didn't do to well in yesterdays competition, and the boat trip I made in the afternoon turned into a serious bucketfull of engine trouble in choppy waves, there wasn't really much that called for a toast.

But we always have Canada! ;)
 
Salutations to Canada. A great country; it was great when i used to sail in , early 50s; it is great now, and, I believe, about to become greater than ever before. :bravo:
