I am new to the posts and would like to say hello and thanx in advance for all inquiries and views. I am currently in the national guard and I am about to convert to active duty army. I am qualified for the Federal OCS program and am nervous about the duty station that I will get. Is there any way that I can obtain information on what duty stations have vacancies so that I may pick from a list or is there no way and the army will pretty much decipher where I go. I am 74D (Chemical Ops Specialist). I am not afraid of going overseas I just want to know (not including Iraq) if I am stationed overseas will I have the opportunity to put in a packet and be sent from my duty station to go to officer school?
