An Army ranger accused of being absent without leave after serving in Iraq and Afghanistan was found Sunday on a remote mountaintop by local and military searchers who had been scouring the Mojave Desert region for days. The ranger, Andrew Stone, 20, of Wisconsin, abandoned his car on Friday and took maps into the wilderness. He was listed as AWOL and may face criminal charges in Georgia, where he is stationed, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said.
