Judiciary was wrong, this time. Libby wasnt the man. Richard Armitage was the guy who broke the story. Why did the judiciary not prosecute him?
Every time the government disagrees with the courts, over-rule it. Thats dangerous thinking.

Want all you would like, you are not an American, so, what you want does not matter.

Oh, and I missed the Press Release of Sandy Berger being Pardoned or having his Jail Time Commuted, perhaps you have a link?

Sandy got railroaded.
Quote:
Berger eventually pled guilty to a misdemeanor charge of unauthorized removal and retention of classified material on April 1, 2005. Under a plea agreement, U.S. attorneys recommended a fine of $10,000 and a loss of security clearence for three years. However, on September 8, U.S. Magistrate Judge Deborah Robinson increased the fine to $50,000 at Berger's sentencing. Robinson stated, "The court finds the fine [recommended by government prosecutors] is inadequate because it doesn't reflect the seriousness of the offense." Berger was also ordered to serve two years of probation and to perform 100 hours of community service.
HARD time to be sure.

If we do that, they will just continue to do it and think they are able to get away with other things. Part of the Reason Bush commuted Libby sentence was because he had no fear of retribution if he did, -that American public remains as placid as they ever are.

BTW. I didn't like the fact that Clinton pardoned Marc Rich, who was a Clinton pal as well.

Actually, President Bush has a pretty good record for sentence commutations. After all, commutation simply keeps Libby out of prison, it doesn't mean he's not serving out a sentence.
Here's a few of Presidential pardons and commutations.

Constitutional Basis

The President's pardon power is established under the United States Constitution, Article II, Section 2: The President ... shall have power to grant reprieves and pardons for offenses against the United States, except in cases of impeachment.

Actually, President Clinton is not the sitting United States President, and, actually, George Bush is the sitting United States President, the sitting United States President with over a year left in office.
