Breaching

So much time is wasted training on how to breach a room. If there is someone in the room the first guy in is dead and I'd tell a certain someone to go get ****ed if they wanted me to follow on in. Pull back and blow the place up.

wallabies thats a bit passimistic, plenty of rooms have been cleared with out anyone getting killed on the clearing team.

It was "bloody stupid" actually. If that were the case, why is it that the SASR and virtually all SF around the world practice it regularly and continue to develop it.

When PTE Luke Worsley died in Afghanistan he was the first man into a building, he yelled a warning before being shot and killed, the rest of the team did not follow him in.

If you're clearing a whole city are you going to be carrying around a million of those explosive devices to blow every door? A million flash bangs and grenades?

And when were you last involved in clearing a "whole city" with a million doors.

Also not every door needs to be breached.
