Court in the act - Brad Pitt turns out for jury service

Hollywood star Brad Pitt turned up for jury service in Los Angeles but was discharged after the case ended in a plea deal.

Entertainment website TMZ.com had claimed Pitt had been ordered to serve on a jury or be held in contempt after being granted several delay orders.
But Pitt's representatives said he had gone through the proper channels to seek an extension.
The defendant in the case had pleaded no contest to drink-driving charges.
In US law, a no contest plea is not an admission of guilt, but is treated as a guilty plea for sentencing purposes.
TMZ said Pitt, whose films include Troy, Babel and Fight Club, mingled with other members of the jury before they were all discharged from duty. Pitt's next film sees him play legendary outlaw Jesse James in The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, due out later this year.

Seriously......probably not the best idea because the women members of the jury wouldn't be able to focus on the case.........
