KABUL -- A suicide bomber blew himself up outside a US military base in eastern Afghanistan today, killing 10 people and wounding 14, an Afghan official said. The bomber approached a group of Afghan daily workers waiting to enter the base in the city of Khost before triggering an explosive, said Jamal Arsalah, the province's governor. A US military spokesman said there were no known US military casualties.
