We make body armour and in answer to your questions, it all depends!

Body armour is made from different fabrics, Kevlar, Dynemma, Goldflex ect, each has its own differnt ballistic properties.

Plates are normally made from ceramics with layers of Kevlar, Steel or just Kevlar; sometime Dymeema or other types of HD plastics etc.
