Happy Saint Barbara's Day!

Today (or yesterday for some), December 4, is the greatest day of all for us Redlegs.
The Saint Barbara celebration has been a tradition for the artillery since about 1400.

 Happy Saint Barbara's Day!
To Redleg, Charge7 and all of you other artillary men.

The term "Redlegs":
Artillerymen are often referred to as "redlegs" for two reasons, dating back to the 1800's. Red appeared on two artillery uniforms, 1) when artillerymen wore uniform trousers with a two-inch red stripe, and 2) when red canvas leggings were worn by horse artillerymen.
