I'm from Massachusetts, but I would say for you, Padre, it should be California or Hawaii. Take your pick. Having visited both states, I prefer Hawaii.

Alabama. Come to Huntsville and you can crash at my place. Ill take ya to the Shilo Battle Field and the Chattanooga Aquarium(best aquarium second to Washington D.C.), and the Atlanta Zoo, and much more... South East US rules!!

actually i was being serious, most of the original colonies were English

The Thirteen Colonies which formed the United States:

* Connecticut Colonyhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Connecticut_Colony
* Delaware Colony
* Province of Georgiahttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Province_of_Georgia
* Province of Marylandhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Province_of_Maryland
* Province of Massachusetts Bay (including present-day Maine)
* Province of New Hampshire (permanently separated from Massachusetts Bay in 1691)http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Province_of_New_Hampshire
* Province of New Yorkhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Province_of_New_York
* Province of New Jerseyhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Province_of_New_Jersey
* Province of North Carolina
* Province of Pennsylvaniahttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Province_of_Pennsylvania
* Colony of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations

Well if you want everything in one state it would have to be California. It's massive in more than just land area. If California were to secede from the rest of the US it would instantly become the fourth most powerful country in the world all on it's own.

But if you want beauty and grandure still mostly untouched by developers, not frozen over every month of the year, no billboards at all, no metropolis whatsoever - then come to Vermont and you're still only hours away from New York or Boston if ya want to checkout Sodom and Gomorrah. ;)

New York hands down. I lived in the suburbs for a while and the place is great if you like the urban, upbeat feel. Everything's at your fingertips there, and just so many places to go, so much energy around you.

i vote for Ohio. It's a great place for whatever you want. You can go live in the boonies like me if you want a slower life style. There are also plenty of cities for a faster life style. If you want a particular climate, well, then it's kind of a compromise in Ohio, it changes every few days, so no mater what, you will get the weather you want, just wait a bit. If you want ladies, well, these country girls can't be beat!! There's no way to lose!!! oh yeah, i live in Ohio too, so there's another reason, lol.

Hunigton Beach area in California, lived there for a years. Best town on earth. (also one of the top 25 most conservative)

If you want GORGEOUS women, come on down to Arizona :)

Well I would agree with this (I have to the wife is Arizonian) however something else I like about Arizona is that you are a few hours drive from Colorado, Mexico, Nevada and California all of which cover anything you could ever want to see in North America especially if you stay in the Laughlin area which right on the California/Arizona/Nevada border.

Just what ever you do "NEVER" be fooled by a sign that says Lake Plesant, while there is a like there it is far from plesant its stinking hot and extremely barren.

Watch your month!! I am from the great state, TEXAS. I think Texas is the best one because Texas was the country, good land, good road, beautiful Texas beach at South Padre Island, good history of Texas, and lot of hunting animals.
