yeah but. How often are you walking about in your Gi or with your belt?

You're right, I rarely go out with my gi on. However, I do quite often wear a jacket. I didn't mean using it for throwing an opponent but as a means to defend yourself. A jacket can be used for many different ways of defending yourself...... Somehow I reckon that you know this already ;)

Yes, you Zander, in English it is customary that when someone speaks the next person who speaks does not address another thrid party by name the are speaking to the person who has just spoken.

As for the topic... Monkey-Stomping 101 will be the order of the day, its a pre-req for Arse Kicking AP. I would suggest beginning a profilactic regime of ibuprofen, acetaminophen and morphine now so as to lessen the afer-effects of your first lesson.

One word mate,

If you do well in Bull Doggs class, you can graduate up to a gold belt (5x higher than a black belt - black really is only the beginning anyway) then you will have the choice of either opening up your own school, nigh on franchise your martial arts to the public, or entering the death matches that go on around the world especially out here in China and win lots of money while you're at it..

How do you think Bull Dogg and I make our living? Teaching English?? :s

Muay Thai vs. Taekwondo:
http://www.metacafe.com/watch/129006/muay_thai_vs_taekwondo/

So you practitioners of the arts explain something to me. I thought Taekwondo was more of a sport while Muay Thai was more of a useful fighting technique. In fights I've seen between Taekwondo and other arts, Taekwondo doesn't usually fair well. In the video, is the gent in the blue trunks simply a poor fighter?

...or are all my assertions here off?

And another question for the experts here...if anyone is still reading this thread:

http://www.metacafe.com/watch/128019/killer_move/

How much of this is traditional "religion" and how much is simply medical fact simply rereferredo by such terms as "Chi." How does Dim Mak stand up to other disciplines assuming similar training and experience of both practitioners?

heres a good video debunking dim mak

And mauy thai and TKD are both sports. It just so happens that the TKD practitioner was better then the Muay thai fighter.

And In my opinion Chi is completly BS. But hey thats just me

EDIT: Here are a few more vids showing TKD vs:

This one is someone unrelated but its about Yellow Bamboo. A "martial art" that depends soley on chi to ward off attackers:

The ancient art of KaChing .....

I truly believe that KaChing is the most deadly form of martial arts I have ever heard of .... OK OK OK ... I'll behave.

KaChing is the sound of a 45 cal pistol being racked to chamber a round. If I am standing approximately ten feet away from anyone who has martial arts training, I can draw, rack a round and fire before that person can get to me. It DOES take a lot of practice to be able to accomplish that however. Unless the martial artist resorts to thrown weapons, a man with a gun ten foot or more away will 99 times out of a hundred be able to draw and fire his weapon before the martial artist can get to him.

By the way, I have had almost two years of Korean Karate from a black belt master ... I grant you that was quite sometime ago, and my muscle memory is almost non-existent now ... but ... I still have most of my speed when it comes to small arms, and my accuracy has always been excellent.

I'm a die hard believer in KaChing. Actually only a small part of the almost 1/2 inch diameter of lead ball has to come in contact with a body part of the agressor to do damage. A fingertip, broken wrist. In the foot, hello artificial limb. Anywhere else, obituary column.
