Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic said it was in agreement with President Ivo Josipovic has initiated the process of systematic withdrawal of Croatian troops from the UN observer mission on the Golan Heights because, after writing of the international media that Croatia was allegedly selling weapons to Syrian rebels.
Croatian contingent in the UN observer mission in the Golan Heights (UNDOF) accommodates 97 people, together whit soldiers from Austria, India, Japan and the Philippines.
Milanovic warned that the last days one of the world's most prestigious newspaper articles that appeared, he said, as long as they denied that, we can never deny. Thus our soldiers are exposed to unpredictable risks. It is our responsibility and duty to think about it and, when necessary to act.
