1. We, Bangladesh, have emerged as the largest exporter of RMG after China. It is a matter of time that we catch up with that nation. Buyers are shifting to us from China and Chinese companies are re-locating here. Our current RMG export is US$ 24 blln. In another two years this will reach 45 - 50 blln. That is a lot for a small nation with politicians ever quarreling, foreign interference in our affairs, uncertain electricity and gas supply and under developed infrastructure.

Our workers, as our people, are smart and adaptive. Over the years we have painstakingly built up a capacity for this industry. Except China, and to some extent Turkey, can handle the entire range of RMG production like we do.

There are also those who do not like Bangladesh to be the most progressive, peaceful nation with high HDI index moving towards becoming the prosperous nation in SA. We have experienced many foreign sponsored sabotage in our country. Our PM has said this is another one.
