I think one of the most interesting event of Americana is the Battle of the Alamo though it was not fought in the U.S. on the 13th day of the siege March 6th 1836 Santa Ana's forces of 1800 troops attacked the garrison of 189 Texans killing all 189 the Mexican loses were awful over 600 casualties about a 3rd of the attacking force , the Texans had no place to go so were determined to make the Mexicans pay and they did .
