Bali attack detainees released

ALL five men detained in Indonesia in connection with this month's suicide bombings on the resort island of Bali that killed 20 people have now been released, police said pm Thursday.
Two men arrested in North Sulawesi province were released Thursday after less than two days in custody as there was insufficient evidence to link them to the October 1 attacks, said police spokesman Sunarko Danu Ardanto.
Two other men arrested in Banten province on the island of Java on October 12 were released Monday. The first man suspected of involvement in the bombings was set free last week.
Officials have said they suspect Malaysians Noordin Mohammad Top and Azahari Husin, leading members of the Islamic extremist group Jemaah Islamiyah (JI), could have masterminded the latest Bali attacks.
An expert on JI has said Noordin and Azahari could be creating their own force after splitting from JI's mainstream command structure, which is concerned about heavy Muslim casualties from the bombings.

Noordin and Azahari are also believed to have played key roles in the 2002 Bali blasts which killed 202 people, and in deadly suicide attacks at a Jakarta hotel and the Australian embassy
