Aviation Ordnance

Ok, so I'm considering Aviation Ordnance or Ordnance because I was thinking about becoming a gunsmith after I was out of the USMC. Would this be a good way to go for my career choice? Any Ordnance guys input would be great.

Why don't you wait until you get in, and then decide? You can enlist and take continuing education courses to get you what you want.

Av Ord hangs munitions on aircraft, Ord does many things

You would want 2111 Small Arms repair, but they are basically part changers.

2112 is precision arms repair, they build weapons but you have to be a 2111 first, and compete for the billet.

03 is clearly the person to discuss this with. My opinion is, however, that you're jumping the gun.
And if your recruiter either cannot or will not answer these questions for you, they should be scrubbing toilets instead of recruiting.

IMO, that is.

Actually my Recruiter is Aviation Ordnance himself and he's told me some of his experiences but I wanted to hear some others input as well.
