Haha. They're probably designed to blend in to an average Australian desert environment.

Great pictures. Did you know that the first tunnel rats in Vietnam were Aussies? They were also the first to find out that the whole country was tunnel networks.(History Channel last Saturday)

That's right. Australian ginger beers (engineers), poor bastards. That's why I didnt want to be an engineer.

Your half right. They are based on the standard Auscam as you can see the guys in the Solomons wearing. It is created using a computer program that takes thousands of photos from around Australia, all different regions, and created that pattern as the best camouflage, and it works wonders.

They simply fed photos of Iraq and Afghanistan landscapes into the same program and it came up with our AusDesert Cam. Works a treat too.

Australian Army Aviation lads have a bit of a laugh over the Indycar on the Gold Coast. Needless to say the media went to town over this. But it's pretty good for a laugh (although slightly off topic as they aren't at war)

Well when you've got as many beautiful beaches, as many beautiful women and as much sunshine as us who wouldn't.

Anyway, back to the war like stuff.
