Rudd, promising a "New Way" in his main campaign launch in the battleground state of Queensland, sought to capitalize on unease among voters about promised conservative opposition spending cuts, warning they would hurt jobs and confidence. To show exactly how stupid politicians are,... these idiots (all of them) are just announcing the beginning of their "Official Election Campaign"

What they don't seem to realise is that no end of lies and promises will help them very much now, as they have been judged over their entire preceding period in power (or opposition).

They treat the voting public like idiots, unfortunately there are a considerable number of them out there to promise the world to....

At the very best of times, a politicians promise is as useful as a tapeworm to a starving Biafran. In the pre-election period they are worth a lot less.
