This is a type we Tried on the AAFC Website. I start by asking a question, and the first person to get it correct, asks the next question, and so on.
With this one, it can only be questions about Australian or New Zealand, or anything that relates back to either question.

First Question, For 5 Milbucks
Field Marshal Sir Thomas Blamey, Australia's only Field Marshal, held a very senior and powerful position in the Victorian Public Service, what was it?

Bory, I will give you back the 5 milbucks as I cant think of any questions to ask at this point. So if anybody else would like to ask away "fill your boots".

Okay, seeing nobody else has posted in a bit,

What is the Date of the Battle of Lone Pine?

Ok this thread seems to have died.
But it is hard to come up with a suitable question....

How about
"what is the mascot of the 2nd Cavalry Regiment?"

HMNZS Achilles, a Leander Class Cruiser.

How many living Australian recipients of the Victoria Cross are there?

and

Who are they?

Correct.

Next questions:

What was the Australian Military's worse peacetime training accident?

and,

What was the Australian Army's worse training accident?

I would say the answer to both would have to be the Black Hawk accident in 1996 when 18 SASR soldiers were killed.

No.

The Blackhawk accident ranks about third in the list of training accidents.

I will provide the answers on friday.

Just to make everyone think harder:

Who were the only two Australians to have the same citations for their Victoria Crosses?

What was the Australian Army's worse training accident?

Kapooka, May 1945, 26 sappers were killed.
