Auburn suspends 3 players indefinitely

AUBURN, Ala. - Auburn linebackers Tray Blackmon and Kevin Sears and tailback Brad Lester were suspended indefinitely Friday for violation of team rules, coach Tommy Tuberville said.
All three players will miss the 10th-ranked Tigers' game against No. 22 Nebraska in the Cotton Bowl on New Year's Day.
Blackmon and Sears had already served lengthy suspensions following alcohol-related arrests in the offseason.
Blackmon, a redshirt freshman, was suspended for the first six games this season. The former Parade All-American still worked his way into the starting lineup for four games and finished with a season-high six tackles against Alabama.
Lester is the Tigers' No. 2 rusher with 510 yards and scored a team-high nine touchdowns.
Sears, a senior, has 13 tackles. He also missed last year's bowl game as part of the earlier suspension and had to sit out the first three games this season.
